The town now known as Kings Lynn was once called Bishop's Lynn due to its connection with the Bishop of Norwich. But then when Henry VIII took over the lordship of the town it was renamed King's Lynn.
Real Norfolk's Bishop Lynn cake is a rich fruit cake full of wonderfully juicy dried fruit, keeping the cake moist and preventing it from drying out to a crumbly mess.
