Positive Changes at Thomas Ridley
We are pleased to be able to share with you, on behalf of the Godfrey family, that Thomas Ridley Foodservice has been purchased by The Bidcorp Group.
A strategic move that we are excited about, Thomas Ridley will continue to operate as a standalone autonomous business. Same name, same brand, same people, and the same culture. However, there are various obvious advantages to being part of a much wider reaching group which will help us to grow and develop. Justin Godfrey will remain in his role as Managing Director and the current senior team will also remain in position.
Thomas Ridley will now join the Caterfood Buying Group, which is owned by The Bidcorp Group, instead of being a part of the Country Range Buying Group. By joining one of the world’s largest buying groups, this will greatly improve our buying ability and security. In time, we hope that this will mean that we can offer you an even better service. However, it does mean that we will be phasing out the Country Range brand and starting to stock alternative products of the same quality.
Being part of The Bidcorp Group will mean that (in time) we will have access to other businesses within The Group. For example, we hope to be able to offer you more Fresh Produce, Fresh Butchery and Fresh Fish through this network, providing you with an even better range. The important thing to note is that we are not now a depot of Bidfood, we will not be branded as Bidfood and we will not be selling Bidfood branded goods.
We are still Thomas Ridley Foodservice – but now we are also a member of The Caterfood Buying Group.
Any product changes that will affect customer orders will be communicated promptly in the near future, but please rest assured that we have good stock of Country Range products and there will be no overnight changes to our listings. If you have any customer queries, please initially contact your regular Thomas Ridley contact.
