Founded in 2016 and located in Norfolk, Flint Vineyard has quickly established itself as one of England's most exciting and innovative wine producers. With 26,000 vines spread across 6 hectares and a state-of-the-art winery, Flint Vineyard combines old-world winemaking traditions with modern techniques under the expert guidance of winemaker Ben Witchell.

The vineyard focuses on ultra-premium, low-volume still wines, meticulously crafted from its own vines and trusted partners. Flint Vineyard is celebrated for its pioneering creations, such as the Charmat Rosé - one of the first English sparkling wines made using the Charmat method. Ben and his dedicated team are driven by a commitment to excellence, creativity and the spirit of exploration. They continue to push the boundaries of English winemaking, producing some of the country's most distinctive wines.

More about the Flint wines we stock:

Fumé 2023, White Wine

The Fumé 2023 is a refined expression of Bacchus, inspired by the award-winning Bacchus Fumé 2022, crafted from hand-harvested grapes and aged in 3rd-fill oak barrels to enhance the texture and aroma.

The palate of this wine is soft and textured but also crisp and fresh. The nose offers ripe, juicy pear and crisp English apple, complemented by delicate notes of violets and Turkish delight. A lingering finish of pink grapefruit, almonds and biscuit pastry adds depth and complexity to this beautifully balanced wine.

Précoce 2023, Red Wine

Hand harvested from a vineyard in Essex, the Précoce 2023 is an early ripening Pinot Noir clone, offering enticing aromas of black forest gâteau, ripe cherries and a touch of delicate spice.

This wine offers a silky smooth and fruity taste on the palate, with well-integrated tannins delivering a refined, textured finish. The wine has not undergone cold stabilisation, so it may develop a harmless crystalline deposit, reflecting its minimal intervention winemaking approach.

Charmat Rosé, Sparkling Rosé

The Charmat Rosé is the first wine of its kind made in the UK using the Charmat method, where secondary fermentation takes place in a tank rather than a bottle. Vibrant and unmistakeably English, it delights with mouth-watering, zesty acidity reminiscent of pink grapefruit, balanced by a touch of creaminess.

Bursting with the flavours of summer, the palate is alive with fresh strawberries, tart redcurrants, and ripe cherries.
