Six entrants had to serve up three courses for two people in the Bury St Edmunds heat of the Rotary Young Chef contest at Edmunds restaurant at West Suffolk College. The winner was Harvey Grimwood, 16, whose menu included: panfried pigeon breast with beetroot puree and blackcurrant jus (starter) fillet of salmon on a bed of samphire with pea puree and a potato rosti cake (main) and deconstructed cheesecake (dessert).

In second place was Joel Brinkley and third place was Lauren King, of West Suffolk College.
